Nature of request
The ministers request a writ under the great seal be sent to the mayor and commonalty of Dublin, ordering them to rebuild the king's manor house near Dublin Castle where the justices sat, which had been burnt during the invasion by the Scots. They claim that the people of the town should do this since they had been pardoned their usual rents following the burning of their suburbs.
