- Ilcombe seeks a remedy for a false appeal of rape being made by Isabel Mouner, who was being maintained by Guy de Brian. He had stated that he and Isabel had earlier been married, as a result of which he was acquitted of the charge, but a later inquest was held before a jury of Brian's relatives and tenants, and he was convicted unjustly.
