Nature of request
John and Margaret Holt request confirmation of their tenure of the manor of Aston and its appurtenances, and exemption from the forthcoming Act of Resumption. The manor was enfeoffed to John of Gaunt, who held it when he died, and was re-granted by Henry IV. Following a dispute with other members of the Holt family, it is now in the possession of John and Margaret, but due to the enfeoffment is now subject to the Act of Resumption.
