Halifeld requests a writ of enquiry into land in Rainham which he claims was taken from him by Garnet. Garnet's lands are now in the king's hands due to his trespass.

Note
The lands of Henry Gernet were taken into the king's hands on 20 November 1321 (CIPM vol. VI, no.716), and he was in prison in Berkhamsted Castle on 10 November 1325 (CCR 1323-7, p.424). Presumably the petition dates from between Gernet's forfeiture and the end of Edward II's reign.
