Nature of request
Hessay requests the return of a French bible which he had loaned to Thomas of Lancaster. The bible was given to Thomas' confessor, in the presence of many of the king's men, but is now to be found in the Treasury, among the books in the keeping of John de Kinnersley.
Nature of endorsement
If the book is in the hands of the king's ministers, and Hamo is able to prove reasonably that he should have it, then he shall have a writ for it to be delivered to him.Coram Rege. Herlaston
