Horton requests a writ of enquiry into his rights into various lands in Leigh and Tonbridge, now in the king's hands due to the forfeiture of Thomas Colepeper. Should his right be proved, he asks for restitution of the lands.

Dates to some point between the execution of Sir Thomas Culpeper in 1321 and the inquisition into this matter, ordered on 1 June 1323 (CIM 1307-49, no.644; C 145/91 no.31). The petition is damaged, but details can be supplied from the 1323 inquisition.
