Nature of request
Hauberk requests confirmation of his tenure of the property and rights of his late wife. On the death of John le Strange, Richard II granted custody of his estates and wardship and marriage of the heirs to the Earl of Rutland, who in turn granted it to the Earl of Worcester and Kynarston, to the use of Maud, widow of le Strange. Maud then married Hauberk, but was now dead, and Hauberk seeks confirmation of his custody.
