- The merchants of the Hanse ask that they may be exempt from the new customs duties imposed upon them in Southampton and the other ports of England, on account of privileges granted to them in by previous kings of England.
- Nature of endorsement
- The king discharges the merchants from all new customs mentioned in the petition for two years, and orders that further information about their privileges be gathered, in order to make a further decision after that period.
