Nature of request
Huse requests the return of the manor of Hatchwood. Geoffrey de Colevyle began process against him in the Common Bench, but Huse had been unable to appear since he was in the service of the king. He secured letters from the king [text given] excusing him from appearing to answer the case, but the judges deemed these insufficient, found him in default and granted the manor to Colvyle.
Nature of endorsement
It seems to the council that he is not able to have recovery in the court where he lost the judgement; but if he wishes to recover his case by plea of error then he is to sue to have the record and process of the case brought before the king, where right will be done to him.
