Hunte asks that the council appoint people to hear his case. He states that certain people of Coventry had assembled the commonalty of the town, threatened the mayor and attacked his property. He sued a writ to the sheriff and coroner, but they dare not act on it, and instead Hunte himself has been indicted for felony and the only inquests held so far have been in favour of his opponents.
