Hallingebury requests that the king pay the 58s owed to him for cloth bought by Ralph de Stokes, clerk of the Wardrobe, for the king's coronation.

The Treasurer and Barons are to be ordered to examine the accounts of Ralph, and if they find that the king ought to answer then let the king be certified, and if the king is not served they are to have Ralph brought before them and do right.Coram Rege.Coram Rege.

Note
Another petition on this matter was sent to Edward III in 1330, referring to the king's father (summarized in E 175/2 no.16 m 2d). The coronation referred to in the petition must therefore have been Edward II's, thus dating this petition to that reign. Ralph de Stokes was certainly a royal official around that time.
