Bailiffs and commonalty of Gloucester.

Nature of request
The petitioners ask that they be allowed to order property owners in Gloucester to maintain the pavement outside their property at their own expense, and seek powers to distrain the goods of anyone refusing or failing to comply. They state that the streets are badly maintained and dangerous, but that they do not have the income to repair them.
Nature of endorsement
The king shall be advised.
