Grubbe requests remedy as his ship was forced on to the coast by Bamburgh on its way from Norway to King's Lynn or Great Yarmouth, and his boat and goods were seized by Newbiggin and Horsley who imprisoned them and then escorted them towards Berwick, and after leaving them the petitioner and his companions made there way to Newcastle and his ship and goods are still detained to his great damage.
Nature of endorsement
Because the complainant is an alien and the trespass is great and the king is ready to do all justice fully, let certain justices be assigned to hear and determine the trespass according to the law and custom of the realm.
