Nature of endorsement
Concerning the £20 from the time of Badlesmere the king is not able to give grace etc. because Badlesmere is charged with the same to the king.Concerning to the residue from the time of Turberville, let it be ordered to Turberville that he certify the king of that exaction and the manner of that exaction etc., and in the meantime the levy is to be superseded.

Note
According to Rees, Petitions Relating to Wales, pp. 183-4, the petition dates to c. 1316 as it refers to the capture of Llewelyn Bren, Bren surrendering on the 20 March 1316. Badlesmere and Turberville served as keepers from 24 June 1314-29 September 1315 and 8 July 1315-20 April 1316 respectively, and the petition clearly refers to a time after their terms.
