- The note on the guard provides a cross-reference to CIM, 1307-49, no. 1554 (1336), but the hand of the petition is much earlier and this seems to have been a long-running matter: the petition is accordingly assigned here, on the basis of the hand, to the last quarter of the thirteenth century.
