Godfrey requests that the Chancellor be ordered to direct a commission to Erpingham, Cheyne, Beauchamp and Arnold to seize all the lands that were Stanlake's and which, following a commission finding that Stanlake was an idiot, were occupied by Mareys for 37 years and is held to answer for £2,000, and that this will be to the king's profit and that of John his son who has in his keeping the idiot and a grange called Carswell, and which grange he will lose if he doesn't have the king's aid.
