[Petition in 2 parts].1) The abbot and convent request that they be granted that their woods of Bridwode and Hopemaloysel be taken out of the assize of the Forest, and take them out of the regard of verderers and foresters as they have rights in the woods.2) The abbot and convent request that they be granted that they be able to appropriate from their spiritualities or temporalities of a sum that pleases the king as they have suffered great damage from the contrariants when they resided there.1)

The petition dates to 1324 as the keeper of the Forest was ordered to desist from hindering the abbot in his rights in the woods if the abbot's predecessors had enjoyed such rights (CCR 1323-7, p.70). It is not clear how this petition relates to SC 8/112/5600.
