Nature of request
The petitioners, the executors of the testament of John de Burford, request remedy as Burford was ordered to make a loan of £100 to aid the king in his Scottish war, the loan to be repaid from the issues of the customs of London on wool and wool fells, but the executors have had nothing.
Nature of endorsement
They should come before the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer and show what they have of the debt, and let the king be certified by the treasurer.Coram domino rege.
