Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition appears to date to 1342, as a complaint was made by the burgesses of Nottingham dating to 16 Edward III, the burgesses presumably being one of the victims of the deputy of the steward and marshal of the household (C 49/6/31). In addition a pardon was granted to the petitioners on 15 May 1342 (CPR 1340-3, p.429).
