Frowyk requests payment of the sum owed to him for making a gold crown for Queen Margaret at the feast of St John the Baptist 30 Edw. I as he has requested payment several times.

They should have a writ to him ...; he is to let them have a certain sum of money as Droxford and Sandale attest, and Droxford is to be charged with the money in his account, and the payment is to be by view and assignment of the same Droxford.

Note
The petition dates probably to 1305 as on 20 January 1306 the king ordered the keeper of the Exchange of London to pay Frowyk and charge Droxford for the sum (CCR 1302-7, p.361). The matter of the debt was current from 1303 onwards as the petition also contains dating evidence referring to the crown being made for the feast of St John in 30 Edw. I, and to letters under the great seal made 12 February 31 Edw. I, which dates the petition to 1303 or thereafter, and the king formally acknowledged the debt on 12 February 1303 (CPR 1301-7, p.115).
