Fitz William and Inche request remedy as they have taken at farm the custom of the fishery of Karal which is called le Can and have a writ to the sheriff of Fife, but he did not wish to do anything, and afterwards Balioliny and other came and imprisoned them.

Let it be ordered to the keeper and chamberlain of Scotland that they should maintain the king in his seisin of the Can of Caral of which right . . . And that they should enquire of the trespasses and thence do justice.
