Nature of request
The petitioner complains of problems concerning his rights in wool in the port of London.
Nature of endorsement
. . . that it is found by record of the Exchequer shown in parliament that the grandfather of the king, and many others of his progenitors were seised and in peaceable possession of a penny of tronage of each sack of wool and a penny from every 100 wool pelts in London and many other ports, and that it is recently withdrawn in London; it is agreed in parliament that the king be restored to the possession of the money from the port of London without delay. Once this is done, anyone who feels themselves aggrieved should sue to the king and his council and justice will be done, and proclamation be made on this immediately in the city.
