- It is requested that the ministers of the Exchequer be ordered to discharge the land tenants of Ferrers and Burnell of a sum demanded from them. Ferrers and Burnell were retained with men-at-arms and archers to serve abroad with the king in 1372 for which they were fully paid for their service, but now a further sum is demanded from the land tenants for an alleged loan.

- The petition is speculatively dated to 1377 in accordance with the guard. The petition is clearly early in Richard II's reign as it makes mention of the king's grandfather, and to his 46th year (1372), but it is impossible to date this more precisely.
