The petitioner requests remedy concerning lands which were taken into the king's hands but which ought to be held by him as heir of his cousin, William de Vescy.

The charters exhibited on Gilbert's part before the king and council in parliament confirm his entitlement to these lands and a writ should be made under the great seal.
