Dated on the guard by reference to Rot. Parl., vol. III, p. 635; but the petition there does not match especially closely to this one, and since the question of the fee farm of Essex and Hertfordshire was a long-running debate in the late fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, the dating must remain very tentative.
