Nature of request
The petitioner, as executor of John de Sor, a collector of the taxes of a sixth and an eighth granted to the king's father, is oppressed by the Exchequer in demands for unpaid sums towards those taxes; he reminds the present king that, in his parliament held at York in the twelfth year of his reign, he acquitted the debts towards those taxes of all those who had served in the late king's wars in Gascony.
