Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated on the dorse by reference to CCR 1381-5, p. 42; the case seems to have arisen from competing claims to forfeitures in the aftermath of the Peasants' Revolt of 1381 and continued for several years. Internal references to Richard II being at Reading (which is known in August 1381) seem to locate this petition to the parliament of 1381-2.
