Nature of request
The petitioners seek relief against Hurtyn, Gyles, le Keu, Salkin, Vergile and Hurtyn, who have made ships called 'passagers' and appropriated to themselves the whole passage of the port of Dover and a third part of freightage of all ships from Wissant to Dover by not permitting any ship to cross, to the total loss of 952 marks on the part of the other people of the commonalty of Dover.
