- Hatfield states that he delivered 4,000 marks as a loan to the late king, 2,000 to the bishop of Exeter when he was treasurer, and 2,000 marks to Scrope when he was treasurer for which he was assigned £1,000 but this was not paid because of the king's death. He requests payment of this £1,000 and the accomplishment of the late king's last will.
