Name(s)
de Dynham (Dinham), John

Nature of endorsement
[None]

Hugh [de Courtenay], son and heir of Thomas de Courtenay

Note
John de Dynham may have come of age on 12 April 1379. Dynham's household accounts record Sir John Dynham's travel to Westminster for Parliament that year where he may have presented this petition: Cornw. RO, Arundell mss, AR 37/37. Cf. also H. Kleineke, 'The Dinham Family in the Later Middle Ages' (University of London PhD thesis, 1998) pp.131, 154. However, it is equally likely if he was born in 1359, as suggested by Kleineke (p. 9), that he came of age in April 1380. The only parliament between 12 April 1380 and February 1381, the date given for the restoration of his lands after proof of age had been taken, was one of 5 Nov – 6 Dec 1380, which would fit nicely with a response by February 1381.
