Nature of request
The petitioner requests remedy, in parliament, and that he may sue for his brother since his brother is a chaplain is and not able to. He requests this against the supporters of John le Mowbray and other enemies of the king who, at the feast of the translation of St Thomas in the fifteenth year of the present king, came to Rossington to the house of Roger de Doncaster, vicar of Rossington, his brother, robbed him of his chattels and took him to Hucknall and ransomed him fro £200 and would only release him once he had made an obligation for the sum, and he has paid £10.
