- The petitioner prays remedy as his father was disseised of 6 bovates of land an a neif after the conquest of Wales by the king's bailiffs at that time in the vill of Cilan, and who cause the land to be extended to the king's use at 10s. a year without any reason, and it is still in the king's hand.

- [On face] Let him have a writ to the justice to inquire the truth and inform the King.

- Dated by Rees, Petitions Relating to Wales, p. 164, to the reign of Edward II, but without precise context; suggested here, on the basis of the hand, as belonging to the first quarter of the fourteenth century; it is possible that this petition and SC 8/106/5270 were submitted on the same occasion.
