- The petitioners request that they be granted the temporalities of the archbishopric of Dublin during vacancy according to the true value, having regard to the great damage that the church has suffered because of unsuitable keepers as in castle and manors which are burnt and ruined by the Irish enemy, and by default of good keeping by which the greater part of the lands are wasted by which the archbishops are not able to have any profit and they cannot take any tithes there which constitute the greater part of their sustenance.
