[The petition is badly damaged with only a portion of the left-hand side surviving].The petitioner requests remedy on a matter which Hugh Despenser and Roger Mortimer have been involved, and on which he has petitioned in successive parliaments.

Note
Only a fragment of the petition survives but the references to Hugh Despenser and [Roger] Mortimer suggest that it may date from shortly after the fall of the former (in 1326) or of the latter (in 1330), and thus have been submitted in the early years of Edward III.
