The petitioner requests an inquiry concerning the damages he sustained at the hands of the men of Roger Mortimer after he had delivered messages to the queen, to the present king and to the king of France from the former king, which were displeasing to Mortimer for which he was imprisoned and his manors despoiled.
Nature of endorsement
Let him have a writ of oyer and terminer on the things contained in the petition, at the king's grace.
