The petitioner seeks payment of a debt as owed to her and her late husband by the executors of the wills of King Henry IV and King Henry V. She states that Henry IV granted her and Richard £20 each year by letters patent as confirmed by Henry V. After the passage of Henry V to Normandy ... delivered to Robert Lovell and John Brown, officers of Henry V, to his use £93 6s 8d for the which sum ... by bill to the late king until he endorsed the same bill with his own hand and charged the bishop of Winchester ... to pay in discharge for saving the soul of his father, which bill the bishop delivered with his own hand to William [Kinwolmarsh], then the treasurer of England, to pay the petitioner according to the effect of the endorsement, which the treasurer would not willingly do.
