Nature of request
As executors of the testament of Richard de Emeldon, the petitioners seek payment or convenient assignment by the treasurer and barons of the exchequer of £26 13s 4d as the sum due for cloth bought by King Edward II in 1313-14, and for which they have bills from the royal wardrobe sealed by Ralph de Stokes.1)
Nature of endorsement
Show as regards the amount of the debt.2) Let them have an order to the treasurer and barons of the exchequer that they inspect the bills of debts due for the king's father to Richard de Emeldon and prove that the debt is still due, and then make payment, convenient assignment or allowance etc.
