Many petitions against Alice Perrers extant in SC 8 are datable to the parliament of October 1378 on the basis of annotations on SC 8/94/4691 and SC 8/148/7363, which refer specifically to petitions against Alice in that parliament. This petition is conjecturally dated to that parliament as the first stage of a process that resulted in a further petition, SC 8/224/11182, and the commission of 1380 found in CCR 1377-81, p. 315.
