The petitioner asks the king to grant to him and his heirs twelve acres of waste, paying to the exchequer a certain sum each year to be decided by the justices of the forest and the other forest officials, and he states that there is a waste attached to Sherwood Forest more than two miles outside of the undergrowth and without any cover and without profit to the king.
