The petitioner asks the present parliament to cancel an unjust award made against him and compensation for his losses. He states that he was peacefully seised in one of his tenements etc., ... when one John Noble of Westminster fraudulently brought against him a certain writ of assize sent to the seneschal ... and assigned a day before the said seneschal. After the plea concerning his tenement was heard ... petitioner appealed to the king and his council ... before his last departure ... 28 July [1421] ... with force and arms took goods and chattels from him worth £40 and more.
