Nature of request
Copy of the report of an inquisition held through the king's writ in Coventry, in the presence of the escheator, William Erneys, before a twelve man jury who stated under oath that William, at one time prior of St Mary's Coventry (the present prior's predecessor), was seised of £60 worth of land and rents etc., in Coventry by reason of a fine made with Roger de Mouhaut and his wife in the court of King Henry III, and that his successors held the same etc.Dated at Coventry 14 November 1334.
