Nature of request
Copy of a royal writ to William Erneys the escheator, commanding him to hold an inquest ex officio into his seizure of £60 worth of the prior's lands and rents in Coventry, which were bought (in the time of King Henry III) from Roger de Mouhaut and Cecile his wife by the then prior, William, and which are now in the king's hands etc. The results to be returned into the chancery without delay under seal.Dated at Westminster 26 September 1334.
