Nature of request
The petitioner asks to be restored to the living of Dungarvan Church, from which he was ousted when Roger Mortimer granted the church to the archbishop for the raising of a prison in Cashel. And then by the aid and procurement of Mortimer, [the archbishop] bought confirmation from the king of Mortimer's grant and by usurping possession procured the bishop of Lismore (his suffragan), to proceed against the petitioner and oust him from the church, and wrongly deliver the same to the bishop contrary to the king's estate and in disinheritance of the crown.
