Merchants of York.

Nature of request
The petitioners state that they were pillaged and robbed at Roxburgh the day of St Laurence last by the earl of March, of all their goods and chattels worth £2025, excluding the death of a great number of their servants. They seek the arrest of John Mercer and the other Scottish merchants, and to have delivery of his body in compensation, or that John and the others, with the said goods, should be collected together and guarded until the next march day to compensate for their damages and injuries etc.
