The petitioner seeks a writ against Nicholas Heryng, because he has lost his free tenements by the falsity of the said Nicholas and has no power to obtain any writ against him by gold or by silver, by reason of the maintenance of Alice Perrers and others of her alliance. He states that he brought a writ of novel disseisin against Richard Wynowyk and others before Lodelouwe and his fellows, lately justices of assize in the county of ... by writ from King Edward [III].
