- The petitioner seeks a remedy in that he shows how Thorp has a commission for taking wood in Devon to the king for quittance of his labour services, and from the petitioner's woods has taken and cut ninety acres without his permission or any warning, paying him one mark per acre, when each acre is worth 40s.
