- The petitioner asks the king to cancel the excessive interest on his principal debt, or he cannot maintain his house etc. He shows that he keeps 160 nuns and sisters in his house, together with 24 canons and five lay brothers, and for their maintenance in victuals etc., took from Bartholomew Rik and his associates £370, for which he is bound in £1200 to be paid at certain times, namely: £830 of interest and £370 of principal debt, which has not yet been paid.
