The petitioner seeks the right to appoint a coroner in his hundred of Godley, delivered by writ of the king in due manner. He states that from the king's grant he has return of writs and gaol in Godley in Surrey, but he does not have the coroner's right to hear the confessions of thieves in his gaol.
