Nature of request
The petitioner seeks justice and damages against John Brette and Alice Perrers. He states that Brette was bound to him by statute merchant in £65 8s and by various other bonds in £25, for which he granted the petitioner eight messuages, six bovates of land and forty acres of pasture with appurtenances in Burton Overy, to hold for his lifetime. Brett, by the support of Alice Perrers (now the wife of William Windsor), entered into these lands and enfeoffed various unknown persons to the use of the said Alice, who now holds and wrongly takes the profits to the petitioner's damage of 100 marks.
