Abbot and convent of Bermondsey.

Nature of request
The petitioners ask that all their lands, tenements, possessions and all their goods and income etc., should be committed to the keeping and governance of Carrowe, Remys and Boteler for five years, for the salvation of their Abbey, which is in danger of final ruin because of certain charges, arrears and debts of which they are liable. In the meantime they ask for the king's protection against a certain writ of quare impedit, and against assizes of Novel Disseisin, Darrain Presentment and Attaint.
